Consider Pregnancy Help Lines When Confused About Your Unwanted Pregnancy

Have you noticed how common single parents are, nowadays? You must have a friend or two who is also one.  I got one of the biggest surprises in my life when a close friend of mine who recently dropped out of college sent me text message via cellular phone that she is having a child out of wedlock.  Worse, she isn’t married and her parents do not know anything about it.  It was really difficult for me because I was on an official trip back then for a company deal.  All I can do is send her emails about how to handle the situation and give her personal advices based on my quite superficial experience regarding these issues.  A website I referred, however, made life easier for her.

The American pregnancy help line is just about as useful to people living in the United States as those who aren’t.  It is a free national service that gives well-researched help and advice through their web pages.  Plus, they even have  a toll-free helpline which you can call and ask questions related to your pregnancy whether unwanted or otherwise. Although this site is no longer being hosted by the American Pregnancy Association, its toll-free number is handled by an equally commendable site called Option Line.   There, you have access to all information including parenting, adoption, pregnancy centres and teen guidance. They do not encourage abortion but there is a page that talks about it and helps you make an informed choice, outlining both the different alternatives and consequences of such operation.

Sites like these are not around more than a decade ago, and how I wish that these on  line resources would’ve been available to those who have already made irreversible decisions like abortion or worse, suicide. Now, it is great to see my close friend living a challenging yet normal life after she gave birth to her child – thanks to me and to the website!
