Feng Shui Coins: For Wealth, Prosperity, and Abundance

For hundreds of years, the Chinese tradition of tying together three Chinese coins as symbols of prosperity, abundance, and good fortune has remained alive. The use of these unique, square-holed coins stems from a more ancient time in Chinese history when coins were worn around the wrist and forearm as a means of protection against negative energy, disease, and evil spirits; and also as a channel to increase wealth and prosperity. Today, the tradition continues along similar lines but the uses have expanded. In addition to wearing the coins on their body, proponents of feng shui coins also place them in strategic areas of their home and among certain belongings to create a positive force of attraction. For the remainder of this article, the use and benefits of this near-ancient Chinese coin tradition will be discussed.

Probably the most prominent use of feng shui coins today is to produce a positive effect on your finances. Tradition holds that by tying three Chinese coins together with a red ribbon will bring fiscal success and prosperity. According to practice, the coins can then be placed within strategic areas of your home in order to channel positive energy and thus increase your financial prosperity. The coins can also be buried with certain houseplants, i.e., bamboo or other healthy plants, in order to stimulate growth in your finances. Other areas where the coins can be placed in order to catalyze money growth could be your wallet or purse, in or around your financial ledger (i.e., your checkbook), or even in a nightstand or chest of drawers. Wherever you decide to place your coins, the positive influence is said to follow.

Another popular use of feng shui coins is to promote physical health and prosperity for those living in your home. The Chinese coin, previously described as round with a square center, symbolizes the unity of heaven and earth thereby making them a guide of sorts to bring these positive energies together. In order to harness this energy, the coins are typically placed above door mantels and other entrances where the energy can enter; typically in the northwest regions of the home.

Whatever your reason to implement the use of feng shui coins: financial abundance, prosperous health, or in general a feeling of good fortune, these ancient Chinese coins continue to remain a positive influence on thousands of people worldwide. Wear them yourself; place them in your home; or simply give them as a gift to someone you wish good fortune on. Feng shui Chinese coins will be a most welcome addition anywhere they land.
